Alena Kvartalnova - Teaching Assistant. Spanish Teacher

I completed my bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy at Herzen State Pedagogical University in Saint Petersburg, where I studied at the Faculty of Philology.

My teaching journey began over four years ago, and what started as private tutoring has grown into a genuine passion for helping students discover the joy of languages. I truly believe that every child learns differently, so I always strive to create a supportive, engaging atmosphere where students feel confident to speak, make mistakes, and grow. Whether we’re exploring English literature or mastering Russian grammar, I aim to make each lesson meaningful and fun.

Alongside my teaching practice, I have had the privilege of working on international projects — from volunteering with the British library centre to collaborating with the Roma National Council in Croatia. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for cultural diversity and strengthened my belief that language learning is not just about vocabulary, but about building bridges between people.

I am also deeply interested in how children learn best. Recent courses like “Play, Learning and the Brain” from The Open University have inspired me to incorporate more creative, play-based methods into my lessons — because when learning feels like discovery, it sticks.

I am happy to be part of a team of dedicated professionals who inspire children to reach their full potential. I look forward to supporting your child’s language journey with care, creativity, and commitment.
