Benjamin Araud — English Teacher

I firmly believe that “whatever is well conceived is clearly said,” and I apply this philosophy directly in my classroom. My passion, as a language specialist, is to enable students to articulate their ideas with confidence and precision, knowing that clear communication is the foundation of effective learning and confident self-expression.

I hold a PGCE from Sheffield Hallam University and specialise in English and Modern Foreign Languages. My career began in UK schools and colleges over 20 years ago, and since 2012, I have built extensive experience in Russia across diverse settings. This includes designing courses for higher education, delivering bespoke training in blue-chip corporations, and teaching within the international school sector—most recently spending five years at Brookes Moscow.

I am truly excited to bring this wealth of experience to ISSP and to collaborate with its vibrant learning community. I am also delighted to be beginning this new professional chapter in the beautiful city of Saint Petersburg with my family. Outside of the classroom, I am a keen rugby fan and find great joy in cooking for family and friends, which I see as another rewarding form of bringing people together.
