Daria Galanova — teacher

My name is Miss Daria and I am the Co-Teacher for Reception and Year 1. Previously, I was teaching English at a linguistic school after graduating from NARFU. I worked at BSSP when it welcomed its first students back in 2019 and I moved into the same position at the International School of St Petersburg. My roles in that time have included working with the youngest to the very eldest children in the school. My role as the teacher of the youngest students is always to nurture their development so they begin to understand the building blocks of language.

English and Russian have fascinated me since childhood and I have often travelled to different countries to practice my language skills and study at different places, such as UIT in Norway and Kaplan International Schools.

I easily find a common language with children because I adore my profession. I am keen on working with our students and I always find something interesting to make them embrace their studies. For me, an individual approach to the student is very important, so that everyone can achieve the highest possible results in learning.

My hobbies include history, cooking, baking, reading and astronomy. Who knows, maybe one day our students and I will discover a new asteroid or a comet and name it in honour of our school ISSPb and there will be ISSPB not only on the Earth but in open space.
