Dmitry Vishnevsky — physical education teacher
My name is Dmitry and I started out professionally with a degree in engineering. During my higher education, I took a trip to Europe to explore different cultures. In a gap, during work and study, I managed to visit the United Kingdom in order to study English.
My teaching career then started with chess, which I have been playing since early childhood. Once upon a time, I fulfilled the desire to achieve the position of master and I quickly realised that when you are teaching, whether on a 1:1 basis or in groups, you are continuously learning.
For me, it’s a real treat to communicate with children, to see their smiles, their attempts to be like an adult. You seem to live their feelings and emotions. It’s like going back to childhood.
I have been at ISSPb now for half a year and I really enjoy working with our team, which I can safely call a big friendly family without any doubt.
During my leisure time I play basketball and chess. If you aren’t able to find me on the court or analysing the other sports we play at ISSPb, I’ll be brushing up on my history and economics or visiting the opera.
