Ekaterina Morozova - English Language Teacher

My name is Ekaterina Morozova, and I am a specialist in Literature, English and Russian as a foreign language. I believe profoundly in the power of literature and open discussion to develop a child’s independent thinking and analytical skills—tools that serve them far beyond the classroom. For me, education is about creating a safe, nurturing environment where students feel confident to share their thoughts, grow together, and advance both within the curriculum and as inquisitive individuals.

I hold a degree in Literature from the University of Oxford, a foundation that deeply informs my teaching philosophy. I began my career in the UK, spending three years teaching Russian (GCSE and A-Level) and English as a Foreign Language at Eton College and an international school in Oxford. This experience shaped my approach to structured, high-quality academic programmes and to building a supportive and stimulating classroom culture.

I am thrilled to bring this background to the International School of Saint Petersburg and to collaborate with its vibrant community. I am wholeheartedly committed to creating an inspiring environment at ISSPb where children are happy, engaged, and motivated to explore the joys of language and learning.

Outside of teaching, I channel my creativity and passion for the arts into work for a literary journal, painting, making ice and snow sculptures. I am also a keen traveller and, whenever the opportunity arises, you might find me surfing a wave or playing polo. I look forward to embarking on this exciting professional journey in Saint Petersburg.
