Academic Values

The International School's curriculum is based on the English National Curriculum (ENC). This curriculum is considered by many to be the gold standard as it is rigorous, respected and recognised throughout the world. Our curriculum is adapted to provide a broader international perspective and includes the study of Russian language and heritage.

School stages

School-based developmental milestones are designed to assess a child's learning progress. The English national education program includes the following stages of education: Early Years (preschool education), Primary school (primary school) and Secondary school (secondary school). Each stage of training consists of several classes, distributed as follows:

Early Years/Foundation Stage

Our first school stage is the early childhood education stage for children aged 2 to 5 years. Children at this stage learn best when they gain knowledge first-hand, through meaningful interactions with others, physical activity and play.

Primary school is for children aged 5 to 10 years. The goal of this phase of our program is to teach basic skills and abilities in reading, writing and mathematics, as well as to create a strong foundation for subsequent learning in a variety of subjects.

Music Develops Unique Thinking

Music is a universal language that can engage and inspire children. Learning to play a musical instrument or simply being exposed to a wide range of musical genres develops unique perceptions and spiritual qualities and is an undeniable source of joy and satisfaction throughout life.
Music is universal, most people enjoy listening to it, playing an instrument or singing.
This is an amazing subject that enriches students' lives and their education. Therefore, music is central to the curriculum, allowing students to develop a sense of gratitude and love for music while honing their musical skills.

Act 1, Scene 1

Drama is a fundamental and highly valuable aspect of the international school education offered at the International School. Each student is encouraged to participate both on and off stage. They have many opportunities to showcase their talents in a variety of shows and assemblies.

Contemporary educational research shows that drama is a practical teaching and learning tool that is easily accessible to all students, visually, verbally and kinesthetically. Dramatic play is important and necessary for children. It is a natural, brain-friendly learning tool.

The acquired skills will be useful in later life. The process requires students to have practical skills in teamwork, leadership, creative problem solving, speaking and presenting work in front of an audience. In this way, personal and cultural development is encouraged. Students acquire specific skills related to historical and cultural context that prepare them to become performers, critics, creators and audiences of the future.
