Ksenia Korelskaya — Physical Education Teacher

I was born in Saint Petersburg, and it’s still one of my favourite places on earth. That said, home always feels good — as long as you fill your life with new memories and new places.

What I’m most passionate about is how cultures differ around the world. I love languages, traditions, and seeing how people shape their lives depending on where they are on the map.

I’m also passionate about movement itself. To me, it’s one of the most incredible things about being alive. It’s hard to explain, but moving your body genuinely makes you happier — and I think that’s what led me to become an athlete.

I’m a professional sprinter. Along the way, I started helping my coaches, and that’s what got me interested in coaching as a career. So I went on to graduate from Lesgaft National University as a track and field coach and physical education teacher. My thesis focused on developing speed in teenagers.

I’ve been coaching kids since 2021 — preparing them either for the Athletics Academy of Saint Petersburg or simply helping them build a physical base for other sports like figure skating, football, and gymnastics.

I want to help children stay active through sport, so I’m genuinely thrilled to be joining the team at the International School of St Petersburg ISSPb!

Outside of work, I love travelling, learning new languages (I’m studying Italian this year), and listening to all kinds of music.
