Tatiana Alekseeva - ESL Teacher

My name is Tatiana, and I was born and raised in Saint Petersburg.

Since childhood, I have been fascinated by the English language, its literature, and the cultures of English-speaking countries. I devoted an important part of my life to music and theatre, which sparked my interest in linguistics. I studied English, French, and English literature at the Department of Philology at the French Academy, where I explored the theatrical nature of Shakespeare’s plays.

I also obtained a Master’s degree in the Linguoculturology of the UK and the USA at Saint Petersburg State University. During my studies, I focused on literary translation, cultural concepts, the influence of language on cognitive processes, and the cultures of English-speaking countries. At the same time, I published academic articles on the representation of women in English literature. In the future, I hope to pursue a PhD.

I began teaching long before enrolling in university. I have always enjoyed sharing my skills and knowledge with others, and I believe that the main task of a teacher is to inspire students to enjoy learning. This is the goal I strive to achieve in my work.

In my free time, I enjoy creative writing, watching films, and travelling. I have also been practicing photography for more than five years, and my work has been published in various creative journals.
