Nadezhda Mironova — head of the russian program
It was during a school holiday that I decided to become a teacher. Since then, both the children I have taught and the teachers who I have learned from told me that I was born to teach. I graduated from one of the best pedagogical universities in Russia with a bachelor’s degree.
English has always been an interest of mine since childhood. I was lucky to study at the University of Cambridge. Clare college gave me new friends from all over the world, experience and most importantly – confidence that everything is possible!
I do not limit my development to just one direction, because I believe that a person who works with children should be multifaceted. I went to art school and graduated with honours. I also studied dance for 10 years. I have already written and published 4 articles, one of which is in English.
I joined BSSP in it’s second year of operation and have helped to build up a strong Russian department that compliments the ENC. Creating celebrations for events such as Maslenitsa and doing bilingual competitions such as Poetry by Heart enables our native students to continue to work and build in Russian.
